2012 Penfold Replicaster Deluxe

My take on a ’72 Fender Telecaster Deluxe

My second build is a version of the awesome Fender Telecaster Deluxe that lasted only a few years in the ’70s until it was finally reissued 30 years later.  Body and neck both from Warmoth.  I finished both with nitrocellulose lacquer and distressed the finished so that it appeared 30 years old.  The pick-ups are Lollar Regal Humbuckers and the best pick-ups on the market.  Period.  All Fender components and like my previous build I did my own headstock decal.  This guitar plays so well that I loaned it to renowned Canadian musician Bob Egan (of Blue Rodeo) at his request so that he could play it.

Specs:
Body – poplar
Body Finish – tinted nitrocellulose lacquer, aged gloss look
Neck – maple with rosewood fretboard
Neck Finish – tinted nitrocellulose lacquer, ambered for age
Pick-ups – Lollar Regal Humbuckers
